McDavid's American-made neoprene has several advantages over elastics
or imported neoprene. Featuring a network of distinct air cells, it insulates
better to help retain body heat and moisture. This has the effect of applying
continuous, therapeutic warm moist heat to a chronic injury to promote
healing and reduce pain and stiffness, while compressing and supporting
soft tissue.
It helps relieve the symptoms of tendinitis, bursitis, sprains and strains,
and cushions against minor scrapes and bumps. The 4-way stretch fabric
makes McDavid supports easier to apply and provides better, more comfortable
fit.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Pull from both sides and wrap
around your waist. For maximum effectiveness the trimmer should be tight
yet comfortable. The McDavid Waist Trimmer is designed to fit all individuals
with waists up to 127 cm. For individuals with smaller waists, excessive
material may be trimmed off if desired. Use sharp household scissors and
trim from the non-velcro side. Neoprene delivers therapeutic heat to injury
to promote healing and reduce pain.
WASH AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Close the velcro hook by
engaging it with the body of the wrap. Wash in warm water with a mild
detergent, rinse thoroughly and drip dry. Do not machine dry or dry clean.
Frequent washing is recommended to keep this support clean and free of
body salts that may cause skin irritation.
WARNING: Wrap contains neoprene. Do not apply directly
over open wounds or wear for extended periods of time or if you have susceptibility
to dermatitis, an allergy to rubber or circulation problems. If a rash
or other skin problems develop, discontinue use. If the problem persists,
consult a physician.
